From the beginning of 2012/13 season (from week 36/September of 2012 to week 35/August of 2013), isolations/detections of influenza virus AH3 was dominantly reported and the report increased from week 47 (November 19-25). After the New Year holidays, the report increased again from week 2/2013 (Fig. 1). In the 2012/13 season, from week 36 (September 3-9, 2012) to week 4 (January 21-27, 2013), isolations/detections of AH1pdm09 from 31 cases in 15 prefectures, AH3 from 789 cases in 44 prefectures, B/Victoria lineage from 27 cases in 7 prefectures, B/Yamagata lineage from 23 cases in 9 prefectures and B/lineage not determined from 11 cases in 7 prefectures were reported (Fig. 2). |
